Supporting Young People in Liverpool City Region

This week has been incredibly busy for Trinity Logistics. The team have been working hard to provide young people in Liverpool City Region new opportunities.

Liverpool John Moore’s University Port Tour

This week also saw Trinity’s Commercial Director Sarah, and Will (our latest addition to the team) bring over 40 international business management students to the Port of Liverpool to experience the Port firsthand.

Students of Liverpool John Moore’s University were invited into our office to meet the team and learn first hand Amanda and Trinity Logistics’ journey. There, our team taught the students about key information about the industry. Amanda gave a talk on how he started the company. The team offered career advice; values to have and the importance of community. Amanda and Sarah also shared how they overcame starting their careers in a very male dominated sector.

From the office, the team and students made their way to the Port and were joined by a member of Peel Ports who continued the tour. The students got to see a vessel being loaded up close and see the iconic cranes.

This port tour is a proud tradition of Trinity Logistics, with this year marking our third tour. Our latest addition Will, took part in our first port tour back in 2024. He then joined us as an intern during his third year. From which, we kept him on as a permanent team member.

We want to say a big thank you to Sarah for arranging this tour as well as PeelPorts for once again accommodating us.

Liverpool City Region Careers Hub’s Maritime & Logistics Cluster Group

This week marked the launch of a new initiative called Liverpool City Region Careers Hub’s Maritime & Logistics Cluster Group. Employers across Merseyside joined together to work together to shape meaningful opportunities for young people to explore careers. They will be offered a chance to understand the skills employers value and find pathways into a sector that keeps our region and economy moving.

Trinity’s founder and CEO Amanda was a key member of this meeting along with members from other notable Liverpool based businesses. Supporting young people into careers in the logistics industry is a value Amanda holds closely, and she works hard to support young women into breaking into this male dominated industry.
